| Chelsea were beaten 1-4 in a dramatic comeback from Brentford in todays EPL. |
The Bees first victory against Chelsea since 1939, saw them come out of nowhere to upset Thomas Tuchel's team with 3 goals in a ten-minute span and also got the 4th goal all in the second half.
First-half possession was evenly split between the two teams, but Antonio Rudiger's spectacular 30-yard strike three minutes into the second period proved to be the difference.
Janelt equalized for Brentford only two minutes later, ustjbefore Bryan Mbeumo set up Eriksen for a goal inside the (54'min) to give the Bees the win in front of their delighted away fans.
Janelt broke through once again inside the hour mark, this time beating Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, while replacement Yoane Wissa sealed the victory for Brentford late on.
Brentford currently has thirty-three points, plus eleven more than third-place Watford, or can confidently look forward to playing in next season's Premier League games.
Eriksen's first goal for Brentford following his return to the club after a cardiac episode while playing for Denmark over Euro 2020 at Finland was the highlight of a very incredible victory for the Bees.
However, the goal was only the icing on a cake that Brentford deservedly crowned one of their biggest triumphs in their history. There was nothing to be pleased about the score's margin of error.
Thomas Frank's team came out fighting against Chelsea straight from the start, with the striker Ivan Toney creating three good opportunities.
Any dissatisfaction came from the fact that they didn't capitalize on their advantage and paid the price when Chelsea's Rudiger put them ahead.
As expected, Brentford produced a stunning comeback to secure their Premier League status for the foreseeable future.
No one can deny the positive impact Eriksen has on people around him. When he returned as a replacement in February, over Newcastle, Brentford won all three of his starts.
Eriksen could be the headliner, however it seems a superb all-round performance, with Toney as well as Janelt putting Chelsea's defense to the sword.
Brentford's defense was also solid, with Frank as well as his team receiving a thunderous cheer from their euphoric supporters following the final whistle.
Chelsea has no reason to be upset regarding their loss or the humiliating scoreline, since their effort was dismal and uncharacteristic of their previous efforts.
Tuchel's team won all six of their March games, but they weren't at their best during the whole month and faced the consequences.
Chelsea's Champions League first-leg quarter-final defeat by Real Madrid at home on Wednesday is the only comfort for manager Thomas Tuchel.
Because of their terrible team display as well as their overall lacklustre performance, they may not be able to reclaim the title that they won in June.
