| Calhanoglu secured a 3 point win for Inter Milan from a penalty kick. |
Inter Milan's 1-0 triumph against Juventus on Sunday re-ignited the Serie A championship battle after a first-half penalty is all they need for the win from Simone Inzaghi's side.
During first half period, Giorgio Chiellini missed a spectacular opportunity to put Juve ahead, as well as their wastefulness became expensive as the Visual Assistant Referee (VAR) secured Inter Milan a penalty kick during the conclusion of the first half in (45+5min) which is taking by Calhanoglu.
However, the home side thought that Wojciech Szczesny stopped Hakan Calhanoglu's penalty-kick, only to have the referee demanded that the penalty to be taking again, Calhanoglu the Turkish midfielder took the penalty again and this time scored as Inter Milan edged Juve.
Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic saved a magnificent Denis Zakaria shot from going in, but the game remained even as Dusan Vlahovic as well as Paulo Dybal both came close to tying the game.
Despite Juve's 23 shots on goal compared to Inter's five, the Serie A champions were unable to capitalize even as guests hung on for the win.
As a result of their first league loss since November, Juventus currently sit in fourth place with 59 points, 4 points below Inter Milan who are in 3rd spot in the league table with 4 points below AC Milan who are topping the league table with 67 point.
