Manchester United may not fight for the Premier League championship in "two or three transfer windows," or till 18 months time according to the club's interim manage Ralf Rangnick.

"Absolutely, was Rooney's response. For United is no threat, I believe they would want the season to come to an end and forget about the Champions League. Even if they qualify, they will not participate in the tournament in its current form."
