| Tammy Abraham scored for Roma against Atlanta for the top four race in Serie A games. |
AS Roma defeated Atalanta 1-0 on Saturday, courtesy of a goal from England's international Tammy Abraham during his first half goal. As a result, the Goddess missed out on a chance to move ahead of Juventus in to the Champions league spot.
With Gianluca Mancini first hitting the crossbar with a header, Tammy Abraham's thirteenth goal in Serie A this season came around in (32'min) into the first half after Roma made short work in the pass exchange from Zaniolo to Abraham.
As Roma held on for a second straight 1-0 victory, as Atlanta rarely seemed like regaining the upper hand, as Roma's boss Jose Mourinho completed the very last game suspension for crossing the touchline.
During extra time, Marten de Roon was shown the red card after getting two cautions with first a yellow card in short period of time for vehemently challenging a Roma free kick. This capped off an already awful day for the Atalanta players and fans. When Roma's Henrikh Mkhitaryan received a second yellow card, the game was already over.
As a consequence of the win, Mourinho's sixth-placed club has now tied Atalanta for fifth position with 47 points. As of this writing, both clubs are 3 points below of Juventus in Serie A league standing.
